How Does the Zeolite Rotor + CO System Work
The system generally consists of three main stages:
VOC Adsorption
Large volumes of VOC-containing exhaust gas enter the zeolite rotor.
The zeolite material selectively adsorbs suitable VOC molecules while most of the treated air passes through the rotor.
Desorption and Concentration
A smaller stream of heated regeneration air passes through the adsorption zone.
The adsorbed VOCs are desorbed from the zeolite and concentrated into a much smaller airflow.
This creates a concentrated VOC stream suitable for downstream oxidation.
Catalytic Oxidation
The concentrated VOC stream enters the catalytic oxidizer.
With the help of a catalyst and controlled operating temperature, suitable VOC compounds are oxidized.
The treated gas is then discharged after meeting the applicable treatment requirements.
